Mud Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Mud Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Oak Creek Estates is a perfect local campground, and Rodeway Inn & Suites is a glorious place to get some rest. That is the absolute minimum. There are 2 fun waves to surf, 3 in very high water. Bring playboats, this stretch of whitewater is only about 500 yards. Both waves have pretty good washout, there is a small hole on the lower wave, but not bad.... |
