Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the neighborhood of Mud Lake. Really fine skiing awaits you at Nordic Mountain; if you need a spot to stay Sandman Motel is a good choice. Through the summertime here at Mud Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the winter       for Mud Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Coon's Deep Lake Campground is a good place to do that, and skiing at Christmas Mountain is one of those things you just must do. Looking for something in close proximity to Mud Lake? Echo Lake is in close proximity, and after a long day outdoors Sandman Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while,                  Trails End Campgrounds is a brilliant place for that, and why not a little side journey to Lawrence Creek.
