Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a great place to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Pike River - South Branch offers some great whitewater. This       lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain; do put some time aside to spend at Bull Falls if you're here at Mud Lake. Really good skiing awaits you at Norway Mountain; Tranquil Vista Campgrounds is a good campground nearby. Take a little trip to Cole Creek since you're here at Mud Lake, and Blueberry Point is a brilliant spot to go to while in the area. Mud Lake is a perfect site to visit for more than one day, Amberg Campgrounds                  and Bar is a perfect site to camp nearby. The amount of precipitation that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; September is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the long summer days here at Mud Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course, usually in the 50's.
