There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Amberg Campgrounds and Bar is a nice place for that, and a journey to Mud Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Bull Falls. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Norway Mountain is pleasant, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Summertime at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures

| | in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mud Lake. Don't forget to take a nice little tour to Cole Creek, and there are plenty of people from Iron Mountain here at Mud Lake.
If you're into cool geologic features, try Blueberry Point, and Lily Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. But wait, there's more to do close | |

to Mud Lake. You can run the rapids of Pike River - North Branch close to Mud Lake, and a lake nearby is Christian Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain is a good choice.
Pike River - South Branch is a splendid whitewater spot in close proximity to Mud Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Tranquil Vista Campgrounds. Mud Lake gets a typical amount
of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture.
