After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Lake Mills is a splendid site to spend a night or two, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Watertown-Fort Atkinson here. The yearly rain here at Mud Lake is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. Summertime at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.       The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows at Mud Lake throughout the wintertime regularly descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pilgrim's Progress Outpost; golf can be played at Lake Mills Golf Club. A good close by hotel is Bayberry Inn; if you're here, you could also visit pretty Bean Lake.
