You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area close to Mud Lake has to offer. Paddling on Turtle Creek is so much fun. The amount of precipitation that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while January is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Mud Lake, for example       Rose Lake; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Fort Atkinson, Wi is a good location to get some rest. Jellystone Park Camping Resort is a splendid campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Fort Atkinson Super 8 Motel. Taking a little visit to close by Gilbert Bay is a pleasant idea, and if you're visiting from Watertown-Fort Atkinson, you won't be the only one. Summertime highs at Mud Lake generally tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's.                  For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Mud Lake temperatures sink to the 0's.
