There's whitewater on Pine River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and going for a hike on the Lauterman Trail is always a good adventure. From a rainfall point of view Mud Lake is a quite typical location; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. There are fine locations to discover along the Dendro Eco Trail; since you're here, you could have       a look at Mud Creek. Summer at Mud Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Mud Lake during the winter mostly fall into the-10's. If you came to camp Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground is a great spot to do that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Forest Lake. This lake is so wonderful.                  There are some glorious whitewater spots on Popple River, and a fine nearby hotel is Americinn - Iron River, Mi. This site is excellent, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the neighborhood of Mud Lake.
