Going for a hike on the Lauterman Trail is always a fine adventure; a beautiful lake like Mud Lake is a good spot to check out. Whitewater paddling is nice on Pine River; do take a look at Lost Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Mud Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall;       throughout September this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do right next door to Mud Lake. Mud Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground is a pleasant local campground, and there are good places to look at along the Dendro Eco Trail. At Mud Creek D7777 Dam close to Mud Lake there are some exciting things to see. At Mud Lake during                  the summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
