Ski Brule is a very popular ski area close by; a brilliant location to camp here at Mud Lake is Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mud Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Mud Lake. | | is a good choice. The yearly rainfall here at Mud Lake is about average; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

offers some splendid whitewater, and Mud Lake is right by the Eds Lake Trail System. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Popple River, and Mud Lake is not the only location close by, Nelligan Pond is a close by lake.
This lake is
so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lauterman Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Brule Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff, and camping at Big Joe Campground is always a perfect experience.
