Mud Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Rivers Bend Campground is a great site to camp nearby; do go to Johnson and Beach Lake, it's a striking lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Mud Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Americas Best Inns-Iron Mountain is a pleasant location to get some rest, and while you're here,

For the period of the warm days of summer at Mud Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets
in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Mud Lake through the wintertime frequently sink into the-10's.
