Mud Lake gets a typical amount of rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to Mud Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. There's whitewater on Totogatic River for all you adrenaline junkies. Lakes? Sure, Lund Lake is       close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Nelson Lake Lodge while you're here at Mud Lake, and there's glorious hiking along the Pigeon Lake Trail. While you're here at Mud Lake you can play some golf at Forest Point Resort & Golf Course; Catherine Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Through the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Mud Lake, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come                  with highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake dip into the-10's.
