Good hiking is available along the Pigeon Lake Trail. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud       Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Nelson Lake Lodge is a brilliant spot for that; paddling on Eau Claire River is so much fun. Dry warm beds await you at Hayward Super 8 Motel, and for you golfers we recommend close by Forest Point Resort & Golf Course. The annual precipitation here at Mud Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. Americinn - Hayward, Wi is a splendid spot                  to get some rest, and float down the rapids of Totogatic River in a kayak.
