There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Peninsula State Park is a good spot for that, and dry warm beds await you at Shallows Resort. The warmest time of the year at Mud Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is       down through the winter temperatures at Mud Lake dip into the 0's. If you came to camp Camp-tel Family Campground is a delightful place to do that, and do stop by Mackaysee Lake, it's a beautiful lake. Mariner Resort Motel is a good location to get some rest; Sand Point is not far at all.
