Do stop by Mud Lake while you're in this part of Wisconsin. A magnificent site to camp here at Mud Lake is Crystal Lake Campground; a perfect nearby hotel is Clarion Hotel Baraboo. A fine site for whitewater paddling right next door to Mud Lake is Wisconsin River, and you can go for a hike on the East Bluff Woods Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Snuffy's Campsite while you're here at Mud Lake, and if you need a place to stay Cedarberry Inn is a wonderful choice. Mud Lake is about average; August is the month that gets the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
Gotta ski! Tyrol Basin is a splendid spot to do that. There are brilliant places to look at along the Grottos Trail.
Lakes are perfect; Crystal Lake is a lake that's near Mud Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Devils Head are so inviting noone can resist; people from Madison love to come here.
During the days of summer at Mud Lake
temperatures are typically in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake fall into the 0's.
