Mud Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Kegonsa State Park is a perfect local campground, and Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a great local destination. This lake is so wonderful. A great site to camp here at Mud Lake is Kamp Kegonsa, and Yahara Hills Golf Course is a golf course nearby. Summertime at Mud Lake comes with high       temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Mud Lake are in the 0's. If you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn South is a perfect choice; you're sure to run into some friendly people from Madison here. Just can't get enough of Mud Lake. There are other places here than Mud Lake, for example Lake Waubesa; lakes are                  such peaceful spots, why not stop at Lake Waubesa.
