For the duration of the warm days of summer at Mud Lake highs are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Lake. From a rain point of view Mud Lake is a rather typical place; the month with most of the rain is June while January is the month with the least       amount of precipitation. Mud Lake is a site with many visitors from Madison, and Mud Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Kegonsa State Park is a wonderful local campground. So much entertaining stuff to do at Mud Lake, so little time. Camping at Kamp Kegonsa is always a                  good experience, and after a long day outdoors Sleep Inn & Suites is a good site to spend a night or two.
