This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hickory Hills Campground is a good place for that, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Watertown-Fort Atkinson here. Mud Lake gets a common amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest       month is January. If you came to camp Astico Dodge County Park is a splendid place to do that. Not far from Mud Lake, you'll stumble on Marshall Millpond 72 which is a wonderful lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Columbus is a good place to spend a night or two. All through the warmest time of the year here at Mud Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
