If you need a site to stay Best Western Resort Hotel & Conference Center is a splendid choice, and Mud Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pride of America Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Long Lake since you're here at Mud Lake; it's close by; while you're here you can take a hike along the Grottos Trail. On a wonderful day at Mud Lake you       can take a hike along the East Bluff Trail; camping at Pride Of America Lake George is always a wonderful experience. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Mud Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. If you want to hit the beach, Silver Lake Beach is close at hand, and a lake close by is Silver Lake. For the duration of the summertime months here at Mud Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the                  80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Lake. The skiing at Devils Head is tremendous; a golf course nearby is THAL Acres Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Portage Super 8 Motel is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two; there's whitewater on Baraboo River for all you adrenaline kick people. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Mud Lake.
