Mud Lake is a nice lake to visit. Stay the night at Pride of America Campground, and Portage Super 8 Motel is a nice site to get some rest. An average amount of rain falls at Mud Lake; during August this area sees the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. After a long day outdoors Best Western Resort Hotel & Conference Center is a great place to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the East Bluff Trail is always a good adventure.

This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability addicted to lakes, Long Lake is one of those nearby. All through the warm days of summer here at Mud Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's, and through
summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Mud Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Just can't get enough of Mud Lake. Silver Lake Beach is right
next door to Mud Lake and is a wonderful beach to stop by; close by you locate the Grottos Trail which is a great hiking trail.
