If you came for an overnight stay Duck Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and you're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Madison here. Cascade Mountain is a great local ski area. Camping is available at Little Bluff Campground, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a nice place to spend a night or two. Mud Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in       a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Deforest, Wisconsin is a fine place to get some rest, and visiting Ice Age National Scenic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. For the period of the summertime months at Mud Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
