In Wisconsin there are many beautiful lakes, Mud Lake is one of them. Go for a hike on the North Country Trail, and camping is available at Chippewa River Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Gogebic Range. And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Brunsweiler River.

| | nearby, and going for a hike on the Black Lake Trail is always a nice adventure. Summer at Mud Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mud Lake. Mud Lake in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Mud Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A
delightful close by hotel is Ashland Super 8 Motel, and close by you discover the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, West Twin Lake is next to Mud Lake, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Holiday House is a pleasant location to spend a night or two.
