If you are traveling by, why not stop by Moquah Lake. Moquah Lake is a beautiful lake in the Gogebic Range. Through the months of summer at Moquah Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Moquah Lake fall into the 0's. After a long day outdoors Ashland Super 8
Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and Moquah Lake is right by the Black Lake Trail. All year is a great time in the Gogebic Range if you go for the outdoors. A quick spree to Hell Hole Creek near Moquah Lake is
a great idea; get covered with water paddling on Brunsweiler River. This lake is so wonderful.
From a precipitation point of view Moquah Lake is a reasonably common site; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture.
