Americinn - Ashland, Wi is a nice location to get some rest; if you come at the right time of year, Bad River offers some great whitewater. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Moonshine Lake. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Moonshine Lake called the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail, and if you haven’t been to Apostle Islands National Lakeshore,       you ought to schedule some time for it if you're here. All the outdoors entertaining things in the Gogebic Range will keep you coming back time and again. An afternoon playing golf at Mellen Country Club is always a delight. A lake nearby is Lost Lake. There's so much to do here at Moonshine Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Memorial Campground is a brilliant spot for that. From a precipitation point of view Moonshine Lake is a reasonably typical                  place; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Ashland. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Moonshine Lake has to offer, you can camp at Waverly Campground. High temperatures at Moonshine Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows at Moonshine Lake during the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Gogebic Range.
