Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not visit Hooker Lake near Montgomery Lake; the snow is great at Grand Geneva. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Montgomery Lake has to offer, you can camp at Happy Acres Kamp Ground, and why not head up to Wilmot mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Montgomery Lake; Lake Defiance Nature Trail is a delightful local trail;       a quick journey to Salem Branch is positively a great idea. Good hiking is available along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail, and lots of folks from Racine come here. Summertime highs at Montgomery Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Montgomery Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Be careful coming to                  Montgomery Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's so much to do here at Montgomery Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silver Lake Marina is a fine location for that; you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Paddock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Montgomery Lake without first going for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Executive Inn is a nice choice. Playing golf is lots of fun at Spring Valley Country Club. An average amount of rain falls at Montgomery Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful.
