     Monson Lake is a nice lake to visit. This place, Monson Lake, it definitely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. While you're here at Monson Lake, you could also take a look at gorgeous Reisinger Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods Lodge. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kettle River, and there are splendid places to explore along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. You'll stumble on a beautiful  
   lake called Zalensky Pond near Monson Lake, and don't miss out on a wonderful swamp; Currey Flowage is right here at Monson Lake.
The scenery at Crex Meadows Dam close to Monson Lake is striking, and if you came for an overnight stay Paint Rock Spring Campground is a glorious site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Governor Knowles State Forest is a great local forest, and going for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail is always a delightful
 
               adventure. If you need a site to stay Lodge at Crooked Lake is a great choice; why not camp at Old Logging Trail Campground since you're here at Monson Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for a great trip? Saint Croix National Scenic River is rather near Monson Lake; there are some perfect whitewater spots on St. Croix River. The amount of precipitation that falls at Monson Lake is close to the national average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month.
High temperatures at Monson Lake through the summer months are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Monson Lake.
