There's some flowing water close by, Murphy Creek is a stream you can stop by while here, and of course, all our national parks are wonderful sites to go to and Ice Age National Scenic Trail is no exception. Lakes are such calm sites, why not visit Lake Mendota 254 close to Lake Monona; Meadow Springs Country Club is a golf course nearby.       Dry warm beds await you at MADISON MONONA TERRACE HILTON, and why not visit Squaw Bay also since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hotel Ruby Marie is a glorious place to spend a night or two. From a precipitation point of view Lake Monona is a pretty normal location; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area near                  Lake Monona has to offer. If you came for an overnight stay Madison KOA is a delightful spot to camp; during your visit here you'll meet some people from Madison for sure. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Lake Monona get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Monona. This lake is so wonderful.
