Lakes are glorious; Beaulieu Lake is a lake that's right next door to Mission Lake, and camping is available at Tilleda Falls Campground. A wonderful nearby hotel is Cobblestone Inn and Suites; nearby you stumble on the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail which is a great hiking trail. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great world it would be. Wolf River - West Branch is a pleasant       whitewater spot near Mission Lake. At Mission Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mission Lake dip into the-10's. Take a little trip to Gardner Creek while you're here at Mission Lake, and you can run the rapids of Red River.
