Mineral Lake is not the only place close by, Gilbert Lake is a close by lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Brunsweiler River. Any time is a great time at Mineral Lake if you like the outdoors. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Mellen Country Club, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Black Lake Trail. So much       amusing stuff to do here in the Gogebic Range, too great to be true. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Day Lake Campground is a great place to do that; don't forget to take a brilliant little spree to Camp Six Creek. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. If the weather is great here at Mineral Lake, you can go for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail, and Americinn - Ashland, Wi is a splendid place to get some                  rest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mineral Lake, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mineral Lake. Mineral Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Chippewa River Campground is a great local campground; if you need a site to stay Ashland Super 8 Motel is a nice choice. An average amount of rain falls at Mineral Lake; most of the rain falls through August; the driest of the months is February.
