Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Gogebic Range. At Mermaid Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's; the overnight is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mermaid Lake fall into the-10's. Be careful coming to Mermaid Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. The       snow is nice at Indianhead, and a delightful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Minocqua. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Gogebic Range. Armour Lake is a fine lake close to Mermaid Lake, and hiking along the Alligator Eye Trail is delightful fun. Mermaid Lake is a good spot of common rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Mermaid Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Birch Lake Resort and Campground is a great place for that. If you came to camp Presque Isle Campground is a pleasant location to do that; in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Planter Creek. Mermaid Lake is located in the Gogebic Range. This lake is so wonderful. Presque Isle is a magnificent whitewater spot in the vicinity of Mermaid Lake. Lakes?
