Go to Mercer Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you come at the right time of year, Turtle River offers some good whitewater; if you've had enough of Mercer Lake, Grand Portage Lake is close by. High temperatures at Mercer Lake during the warm months are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's while Mercer Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's.

An afternoon playing golf at Tahoe Lynx Golf Course is always a joy, and if you came for an overnight stay Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a splendid place to camp. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Black River, and Mercer Lake is not the only location close by, Bluegill Lake is a close by lake. Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and there are brilliant places to discover along the Newman Springs Ski Trail.
The annual rainfall here at Mercer Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is usually June,
that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Ironwood, Mi, and Double E Resort is a great local campground. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Ironwood is a great choice, and a day on the slopes of Blackjack is just what you need.
