If you need a location to stay Best Western Inntowner And The Highland Club is a brilliant choice, and a visit to Ice Age National Scenic Trail is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Blackhawk Country Club is a good golf course nearby, and if you get bored of       Lake Mendota you could also take a look at nearby Lake Wingra. A magnificent spot to camp here at Lake Mendota is Madison KOA, and a lake close by is Lake Wingra 6. Camping is available at De Forest Koa Kampground, and folks from Madison love to come here. You are close to Farwells Point while you're here at Lake Mendota, and a good nearby hotel is The Dahlmann Campus Inn and Chancellors Club. Lake Mendota gets a typical amount of yearly rain; August is                  the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. Through the months of summer at Lake Mendota temperatures are generally in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's.
