Flowage 35.4. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp North Twin Lake Campground is a good site to do that, and Americinn - Medford, Wi is a magnificent place to get some rest. There are some great whitewater spots on Black Creek.

 | 15 miles away ... lack of enforcing the quiet hours. Parties with music blaring, singing and yelling went on until 3 a. M. Some noise was from the weedend campers next to us, and some noise was from the permanent site owners, which also included blowing on a plastic trumpet, not only during the day, but into the night. Dogs were left barking alone on the site next to us while the owners were at the bar or at the lake. No one was in the office in regular hours, making it impossible to replenish the ice in our coolers until the next day. Office was closed at six pm and was still not open at 10 the next. Person I talked to in the building said because of the economy he'd had to let a lot of the help go. Unfortunately, this is a big negative for us, since it made our stay somewhat uncomfortable, with the noise, lack of hot water, and not being able to get ice. Overall, with the help of ear plugs, we were able to survive with a little inconvenience. It would be nice though, if they could put a lid on the noise. Maybe appoint one of the seasonal campers to police the sites a little better in exchange for a... |
