Americinn Shell Lake is a good spot to get some rest, and camping is available at Scenic View Campgrounds. St. Croix River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and why not camp at Benoit Lake Campgrounds since you're here at Meads Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Glendenning Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; Clam River Golf Club is a golf course close by. At       Meads Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Meads Lake sink into the-10's. If you need a spot to stay Country House Motel is a fine choice, and Bashaw Trout Springs is a lovely spot to check out while you're at Meads Lake. The yearly precipitation here at Meads Lake is about average;                  of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
