Camping is available at Norm and Ann's Campground, and needless to say Black Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Black River, and if you need a site to stay Americinn - Thorp, Wi is a good choice. Not far from Mead       Lake, you'll discover 0.3 Reservoir which is a beautiful lake, and you can go for a hike on the Silver Mound Trail. High temperatures at Mead Lake during the summer months are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Mead Lake. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Mead Lake is excellent! There are good sites to discover along the Hamilton                  Falls Snowmobile Trail, and Super 8 Stanley is a glorious place to get some rest.
