McNamar Lake is not the only site close by, Horseshoe Lake is a close by lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Eastwood Campground is a nice location to camp. The Ice Age Trail is a great hiking trail in the vicinity of McNamar Lake; a lake close by is Clarke Lake. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Jump River - South Fork, and Sleep Inn Abbotsford is a great place to get some rest. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what

Summer brings highs in the 80's to McNamar Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 20's while the cold winter nights at McNamar Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at North Twin Lake Campground, and if you need a place to stay Americinn - Medford, Wi is a magnificent choice. The yearly rainfall here at McNamar Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here while February is typically the driest month.
