If the weather is magnificent here at McLaren Lake, you can go for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marengo River. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at McLaren Lake. McLaren Lake is a delightful spot to visit for more than one       day, Day Lake Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby; not far from McLaren Lake you'll stumble on Beaver Lake which is a gorgeous lake. So many amusing things in the Gogebic Range, just remarkable. There's some out of the ordinary stuff to spot at Lower Clam Lake Dam near McLaren Lake, and you can stay the night at Chippewa River Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Ashland is a great choice; whitewater paddling                  is great on Brunsweiler River. On a pleasant day at McLaren Lake you can take a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail; there are other places here than McLaren Lake, for example Pole Lake. And that's not all you can do here in the Gogebic Range. Going for a hike along the Black Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. McLaren Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Summer at McLaren Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's.
