That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; McGee Lake has it all. McGee Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Thornapple River Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if you've had enough of McGee Lake, Lake La Verne 13 is nearby. There's so much to do here at McGee Lake       that you need to camp here for a while, West Cove Lanes is a good spot for that, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flambeau River. During the months of summer at McGee Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 10's; nighttime lows in the-10's for McGee Lake.                  From a rain point of view McGee Lake is a pretty common place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Flambeau River - North Fork, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Christie Mountain is close to McGee Lake; Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi is a great place to get some rest.
