The yearly precipitation here at McCrossen Lake is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Little Wolf River is so much fun, and McCrossen Lake is a nice place to camp, Deerhaven Campground is a nice place. At McCrossen Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's. When       the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while McCrossen Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This is a perfect vicinity for folks who like lakes. Beasley Lake is a lake around here. Stay the night at Holmes Waupaca Camping Park, and on a perfect day you can pop by Otter Creek, a swamp right next door to McCrossen Lake. A round of golf at nearby Foxfire Golf Club is a                  great way to kill some time, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Foxfire is a splendid site to spend a night or two. Greenwood Forest is a forest near McCrossen Lake that you can go to; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Grand Seasons Hotel. Just can't get enough of McCrossen Lake.
