Menomonee River is a brilliant whitewater spot in close proximity to McConville Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of McConville Lake is Pewaukee River, and if you're a golfer then a wonderful close by course is Hartford Golf Club. An average amount of precipitation falls       at McConville Lake; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Do go to Beck Lake near McConville Lake, it's a picturesque lake; delightful scenery and perfect skiing is what you obtain at Little Switzerland. If only every place had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great earth it would be. Super 8 Motel - Hartford is a good place to get some rest; while you're here, you could also stop                  at gorgeous Murphy Lake. Camping is available at Timber Trail Camp Ground; skiing at Highlands of Olympia is one of those things you just should do. For the period of the summertime highs here at McConville Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
