McCaslin Lake is a good place of common rain; September is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Paddling on Rat River is so much fun, and the Dendro Eco Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI, and you can stay the night at Mountain       Jeds Campgrounds. Get wet paddling on Peshtigo River; Mc Caslin Mountain Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. On a wonderful day you obtain a panorama of McCaslin Mountain from McCaslin Lake. Summertime highs at McCaslin Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at McCaslin                  Lake.
