You're sure to encounter some wonderful people from Merrill here. At McCarthy Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at McCarthy Lake. An average amount of rainfall       falls at McCarthy Lake; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at The Outpost Campground, and you can run the rapids of New Wood River. Be careful coming to McCarthy Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Some of the water nearby flows, like Little Somo River, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not have a look at Somo Lake 36.
