High temperatures at McArthur Lake during the summertime are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 10's; overnight lows at McArthur Lake during the winter generally drop into the-10's. There's so much to do here at McArthur Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fishtrap Campground is a good place for that, and if you come at the       right time of year, Flambeau River - South Fork offers some glorious whitewater. McArthur Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. McArthur Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Smith River Campground is a good local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Turtle River. Just                  can't get enough of McArthur Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Minocqua, Wi. Visit Cochram Creek while you're here at McArthur Lake. Lakes are magnificent; Deer Lake is a lake that's near McArthur Lake.
