     Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Namekagon River, and do take a hike on the Hardwood Trail. Matson Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. During the summertime here at Matson Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in  
   the 20's while Matson Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. Matson Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Dahle's Campground is a great local campground. Lakes are magnificent; Bodins Lake is a lake that's near Matson Lake.
All the outdoors cool things near Matson Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. There's so much to do here at Matson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, T.P. Resort and Campground is
 
               a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Northern Pine Inn, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Spute Lake. If you need a place to stay Americinn - Hayward, Wi is a pleasant choice, and hiking along the Serley Camp Trail is nice fun.
