Mathy Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Super 8 Chetek is a glorious place to get some rest, and Mathy Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Northshore Bar and Campground is a       great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Christie Mountain, and there's great hiking along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail. After a long day outdoors Americinn Lodge Ladysmith is a delightful spot to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Hardwood Trail. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Mathy Lake rocks! Lots of folks from Eau Claire come to Mathy Lake, and if you                  come at the right time of year, Chippewa River offers some splendid whitewater. This lake is so wonderful.
