A fine close by hotel is Americinn - Thorp, Wi; if you come at the right time of year, Yellow River offers some great whitewater. Why not camp at Chippewa Campground since you're here at Marion Lake, and float down the rapids of Jump River - South Fork in a kayak. A splendid location to camp here at Marion Lake is Kathryn Lake Campground, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Medford, Wi is       a great spot to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Marion Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Marion Lake. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Marion Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Chub Lake close to Marion Lake, it's a stunning lake; there is a magnificent hiking trail close                  by called the Ice Age Trail.
