This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Hawkins Creek, and Marengo Lake is right by the North Country Trail. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Gogebic Range, too fine to be true. Going for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and hiking along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail is perfect fun. This lake is so wonderful. Man,       is there a load of exciting stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. Camping at Chippewa River Campground is always a magnificent experience, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marengo River. Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is a very perfect place to stop at right next door to Marengo Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Birch Lake. This lake is one of the                  great places here in the Gogebic Range. Marengo Lake gets a normal amount of rain; most of the rain falls through September; February is the month with the least moisture. A perfect nearby hotel is Best Western Holiday House, and Marengo Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Day Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Marengo Lake. Ashland Super 8 Motel is a fine place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Indian Lake is nearby. Summertime highs at Marengo Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.
