Marengo Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Marengo Lake is one of the lakes here in the Gogebic Range. There are brilliant sites to look at along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail; obviously Hawkins Creek flows through this area. And if that's not enough there's heaps more fun stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. Go for a hike on the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail, and camping at Day Lake Campground is always a good experience.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the North Country Trail is always a pleasant adventure; dry warm beds await you at Ashland Super 8 Motel. For the period of the summer at Marengo Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Marengo Lake. This lake is so wonderful.

but there's even more cool things to do here in the Gogebic Range. Birch Lake is a great lake in the vicinity of Marengo Lake, and if you have time to spare, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is a national park worth stopping at.
So much enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Marengo Lake, completely mind-boggling. A pretty lake like Indian Lake close to Marengo Lake is a nice place to stop by, and a great location for whitewater paddling is Marengo River. A
great site to camp here at Marengo Lake is Chippewa River Campground, and Best Western Holiday House is a great location to get some rest.
The annual precipitation here at Marengo Lake is about average; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.
