Marais Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Big River Campground is a delightful place to camp nearby, and a great swamp near Marais Lake is Ambrough Slough. All through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Marais Lake, and the night is fairly colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs       in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Marais Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Sports Unlimited Campground is a perfect local campground, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Prairie Du Chien, Wi is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Effigy Mounds National Monument is a magnificent national park, and no need to travel far to check out out of the ordinary stuff like Eagle Rock. Marais Lake gets a normal amount of rain; all through                  the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This location is excellent, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do close to Marais Lake.
