Bear Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and get soaked paddling on Duncan Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Eau Claire. What would winter be without some skiing at Christie Mountain. You'll need more than       a day to look at everything MacDonald Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd.
