This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a scenic lake called Little Popple Lake near Ludington Lake, and Nicolet Country Club is a great golf course nearby. Summertime highs at Ludington Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Ludington Lake. Whitewater paddling is great on       Wolf River, and do stop by Popple Lake, it's a pretty lake. Wolf River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and going for a hike on the Dendro Eco Trail is always a great adventure. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Ludington Lake. If you need a place to stay Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a good choice; Ludington Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Ada Lake Campground is a good local campground.                  Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Eds Lake Trail System. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Brule Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. The amount of rain that falls at Ludington Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is mostly the driest month.
