A wonderful site for whitewater paddling close to Lowes Lake is Menomonee River; if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Hartford is a good choice. Summertime highs at Lowes Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's       with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lowes Lake. What a place this is for outdoors people. After a long day outdoors Americinn Hartford is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and Lowes Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Timber Trail Camp Ground is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Little Switzerland; close to Lowes Lake you find a golf course called                  Scenic View Country Club Golf Course. Lowes Lake is not the only place nearby, Little Friess Lake is a nearby lake, and there are plenty of people from Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis here. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Pewaukee River, and Flynn Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. Lowes Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly September, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
