Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites St. Croix Valley, Wi, and don't leave Lower Lake without first going for a hike along the Sunrise Ferry Hiking Trail. If you need a location to stay Americinn - New Richmond, Wi is a nice choice. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apple River, and Trollhaugen is a very       popular ski area in the neighborhood. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake O' the Dalles is right next door to Lower Lake; Wild Mountain has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. Swamps are exciting sites and Close Slu in the vicinity of Lower Lake is no exception, and don't forget to take a fine little spree to Lawrence Creek. From a rainfall point of view Lower Lake is a reasonably typical place; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of                  the year is February. And that's not all you can do here at Lower Lake. Lower Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Wildwood Park Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground; a round of golf at nearby Krooked Kreek Golf Course is a splendid way to kill some time. Summer at Lower Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight lows at Lower Lake during the wintertime generally descend into the 0's. A fine spot for whitewater paddling near Lower Lake is St. Croix River, as expected you could also stop at Peaslee Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful.
