Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 10's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lost Lake temperatures sink to the 0's.       From a rainfall point of view Lost Lake is a rather normal spot; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If you come at the right time of year, Flambeau River - South Fork offers some magnificent whitewater, and a pleasant close by hotel is Park Falls Super 8 Motel. While you're here at Lost Lake you can take a hike along the Newman Springs Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a wonderful                  little visit to Hoffman Creek.
