Be careful coming to Lost Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Lakes? Sure, Silver Lake is close at hand. You can see Cascade Mountain from Lost Lake, and you can go for a hike on the East Bluff Woods Trail. Gotta ski! Devils Head is a pleasant location to do that; Silver Lake Beach is a picturesque beach to stop at. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Wisconsin River, and why not camp       at Camp Dakota Campgrounds while you're here at Lost Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fox Glen is a great spot to stop by near Lost Lake; Comfort Suites Portage is a delightful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lost Lake, you'll find Pickerel Lake which is a beautiful lake; there are plenty of folks from Madison here. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Lost Lake. A glorious place to camp here at Lost Lake is Sky                  High Camping Resort II, and if you need a place to stay Portage - Days Inn is a magnificent choice. Lost Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Cascade Mountain; there's fine hiking along the East Bluff Trail. Good hiking is available along the Grottos Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Baraboo River. During the summer months highs here at Lost Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
