Lost Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Devils Head, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Portage is a good site to spend a night or two. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Lost Lake called the East Bluff Trail, and if the weather is gorgeous, you get a tremendous vista of Cascade Mountain from Lost Lake. | | 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lost Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Really perfect skiing awaits you at Cascade Mountain, and Portage - Days Inn is a splendid site to get some rest. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do close to Lost Lake. Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Baraboo River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lost Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp Dakota Campgrounds, and you'll
almost certainly meet some folks from Madison here. An average amount of rain falls at Lost Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. Fox Glen is a fine site to have a look at close by.
Time spent at Silver Lake Beach near Lost Lake is always magnificent, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Wisconsin River. This lake is so wonderful. On a tremendous day at Lost Lake you can take a hike along the Grottos Trail, and you can stay the night at Sky High Camping Resort II.
