Sure, Miniwakan Lake is right next door to Loon Lake, and Piney woods Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Loon Lake, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Loon Lake. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. This lake is so wonderful.       Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Wolf River, and do put some time aside to spend at Blue Springs since you're here at Loon Lake. Loon Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
