This spot, the Gogebic Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Do have a look at Beaver Lake in the vicinity of Loon Lake, it's a picturesque lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Loon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Waverly Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Loon Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime       highs are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Loon Lake are in the 0's. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. A trip to Loon Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Brownstone Falls, and let's not forget City Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. Loon Lake is a good location of common precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August;                  the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Tyler Forks is so much fun, and the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. So many amusing things to do in the Gogebic Range, not enough time. A wonderful lake like Murphy Lake near Loon Lake is a brilliant location to go to; dry warm beds await you at Ashland Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Bad River, and if you're a golfer then a wonderful nearby course is Mellen Country Club. Stay the night at Wildwood Haven Resort and Campground; after a long day outdoors Americinn - Ashland, Wi is a perfect spot to spend a night or two.
